Creating new pages in Notion can be a quick and easy process, especially if you use the handy new page shortcut. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to use the new page shortcut and explore some of the ways you can use this feature to stay organized.
Simply head over to your desired Notion account or workspace to get started. Note: this shortcut for New Page will only work in the desktop app. If you're using Notion in the browser, it will only create a new browser window...
Once you're in your Notion workspace, you can use the new page shortcut to quickly create a new page. On Windows, you'll need to type 'Ctrl + N' to create a new page. On Mac, you'll need to type 'Cmd + N' to create a new page.
Bonus tip: If you want to create a New Window, you can also do this in the desktop app. The shortcut is 'Ctrl + Shift + N' on Windows and 'Cmd + Shift + N' on Mac.
After you've used the new page shortcut, you'll be taken to a new page where you can give your page a title. Type in a title for your new page.
After you've given your new page a title, you'll need to select where you want it to be stored. You can choose to create your new page in any database or page you have access to in your workspace/account. By default, if you don't change anything, the new page will automatically be stored in your 'Private pages' menu in the Notion sidebar.
If you're already in a page in Notion and you want to quickly create a new page, you can use the '/page' command. Just type '/page' in any Notion block and hit 'Enter'. This will create a new page in the same location as the block you're currently in.

💡 What is a Notion OS? Notion OS templates are ready-made workspaces that have been designed for specific business types. You can always customize your Notion OS further with individual components--but your OS should serve as your base hub, with the fundamental structure you need to run a business in Notion.
