Running some YouTube content and want to keep an eye on it from right within your Notion pages? 

With this tutorial, you'll learn how to embed YouTube analytics into Notion, creating a customizable dashboard to visualize your data.

How To Embed Your YouTube Analytics & Stats Dashboard In Notion

  1. Duplicate this YouTube Analytics Template in your Notion workspace,
  2. Then navigate to the Data Studio link and 'Make a Copy'.
  3. Select the data visualization boxes you'd like to include in your dashboard.
  4. Continue with sample data in your dashboard.
  5. Connect your YouTube account to your dashboard.
  6. Check that the data is coming through as expected.
  7. Copy the embed URL.
  8. Paste the embed URL into your Notion page and create the embed.
  9. Resize your dashboard to fit your desired layout.

Step 1: Duplicate this template into your Notion workspace

To get started, you'll need to make a copy of the YouTube Analytics Template in your Notion workspace. To do this, click on the 'YouTube Analytics Template' link, then select 'Make A Copy'. This will create a copy of the template in your Notion account, which you can then customize and use for your own analytics tracking.

Step 2: Hit 'Make a copy' in your account

Create a copy of the Data Studio dashboard template.

Step 3: Select the data visualization boxes you'd like to include

Next, you'll want to choose which data visualization boxes you'd like to include in your dashboard. To do this, hold down the Shift key and click on each box individually to select them. You can choose as many or as few as you'd like, depending on the data you want to track.

Step 4: Add sample data

Once you've selected the data visualization boxes you'd like to include, head into the 'Data' column of the side menu and select 'Sample Data'. This will open another menu, at the bottom select 'Add data'.

Step 5: Connect your YouTube account

Now it's time to connect your YouTube account to your dashboard. Scroll down the menu of apps to find 'YouTube'. Follow the prompts to authorize access to your YouTube data, and you'll be all set!

Step 6: Check that the data is coming through

Once you've connected your YouTube account, check that the data is coming through as expected. You should see your YouTube analytics data displayed in the data visualization boxes you selected earlier. If you don't see the data you're expecting, double-check that you've properly connected your YouTube account and that you've selected the correct data visualization boxes.

Step 7: Copy the embed URL

Copy the embed URL to your clipboard, as you'll need it in the next step.

Step 8: Paste the link and create the embed

Navigate back to your Notion page and paste the embed URL into the page. After pasting the link, select 'Create embed' from the menu that appears. This will create an interactive display of your YouTube analytics stats within Notion.

Step 9: Resize your dashboard

Lastly, resize your dashboard to fit your desired layout and you're all set! You now have a fully-functional YouTube analytics dashboard within Notion.
