Notion is a powerful tool for organizing and managing your data. One of its key features is the ability to create databases to store and organize information. But sometimes you might want to move items between these databases. This tutorial will show you how to do this quickly and easily.
The first step is to navigate to the database where you want to copy items from. This is the "source database".
Next, you need to select the data that you want to copy. It's best to do this in a table view, as this will allow you to easily select multiple items at once. If your data is in another view, such as a gallery view, you can switch to a table view by clicking the "Change view" button in the top right corner of the page, and selecting "Table".
Once you're in a table view, select the rows that contain the data you want to copy by dragging your cursor over them.
To copy the data, press "Ctrl" + "C" on your keyboard (or "Command" + "C" on a Mac). This will copy the data to your clipboard.
Next, navigate to the database where you want to move the data to. This is the "target database". As in step 2, make sure you're in a table view before proceeding.
Create a new empty row, select the full row, and hit 'Ctrl' + 'V' to paste your data.
New rows should be created for each database item.
If the property names and values are the same, Notion will also auto-populate the properties it can when you hit paste. For the rest, you will need to refill these manually.
