January 1, 2024

Making a Notion page public allows anyone with the unique URL to view and interact with your page. Follow the steps below to learn how to make a Notion page public.

How To Make A Notion Page Public

  1. Navigate to the page you'd like to make public.
  2. In the top right corner of the page, hit the 'Share' button.
  3. In the sharing options, select the toggle next to 'Share to web'.
  4. Hit the dropdown menu 'Show link options' to see more details about the sharing settings for your page.
  5. Use the toggles to allow visitors to edit, comment, or duplicate your page as a template.
  6. Once you're done, hit the 'Copy web link' button to copy the unique URL for your page. Share this URL with whoever you'd like to have access to your page.

Step 1: Navigate to the Page

The first step is to navigate to the page you'd like to make public. It's worth noting that any linked database views will not show up on the public page unless the source database is also shared!

Step 2: Hit the 'Share' Button

Next, hit the 'Share' button in the top right corner of the page. This will open a menu where you can configure the sharing settings for your page.

Step 3: Select the 'Share to Web' Toggle

In the sharing menu, select the toggle next to 'Share to web'. This will make your page public and give you a unique URL that you can share with others.

Step 4: Show Link Options

To see more details about your page's public link, hit the dropdown menu 'Show link options'. This will allow you to customize how others can interact with your page when they access it through the unique URL.

Step 5: Allow Visitors to Edit, Comment, or Duplicate

Allow visitors to edit, comment, or duplicate your page as a template with the toggles.

  • Edit: This will allow any visitor to your public URL to make changes to the original shared copy! Be careful with this one;
  • Comment: This will let any visitor leave comments on the publicly visible page, but not edit;
  • Duplicate: This will let visitors create their own copy of the page you've shared, which they can then edit without affecting the original.

Step 6: Copy the Unique URL

Once you've configured the page sharing settings the way you want them, you're ready to copy the URL. Hit the 'Copy web link' button, which will copy your public page link to your clipboard. Then head over to social media, email or wherever you'd like to share it and paste your unique link!

Sharing and making Notion pages public is an especially handy way to get around the 'Guest limits' on free workspaces. Plus, it lets you share useful Notion templates like the ones below for others to copy and use themselves!

💡 What is a Notion OS? Notion OS templates are ready-made workspaces that have been designed for specific business types. You can always customize your Notion OS further with individual components--but your OS should serve as your base hub, with the fundamental structure you need to run a business in Notion.
