Drip Campaign Timeline
DRIP CAMPAIGNS

A drip campaign is a marketing strategy that involves sending out a series of targeted emails or messages over a period of time. Drip campaigns can be an effective way to nurture leads, keep customers updated on your latest products or services, and build relationships with potential and existing customers.

With Notion, you can create a timeline view of your drip campaign, so you can see at a glance when each email or message will be sent out. You can also use Notion to track the progress of your drip campaign and make sure that each email or message is being delivered as planned.

How long should a drip campaign last?

The length of your drip campaign will depend on your goals and objectives. If you're trying to build relationships with potential customers, you may want to keep your drip campaign going for several weeks or even months. However, if you're simply trying to update existing customers on your latest products or services, a shorter drip campaign may be more effective.

Common drip campaigns, like a Welcome email series, might even be as short as 7 consecutive days.

How do you structure a drip campaign?

When you're planning your drip campaign, it's important to think about the content of each email or message. What information do you want to include in each email? How can you make each email or message more targeted and relevant to your audience?

It's also important to consider the timing of each email or message. When will your target audience be most likely to open and read each email? How often do you want to send out emails or messages? Once a week? Once a day?

Finally, you'll want to think through the Customer Journey you'd like your user or potential customer to take. Are they already familiar with your product? Do they understand all the features or offerings you have? What next steps would they need to take to be ready to buy?

Notion can help you keep track of all the details of your drip campaign, so you can be sure that each email or message is delivered on time and with the right content. Creating a Drip Campaign in the Timeline Template in Notion

  1. To get started, duplicate the full template linked to your Notion account.
  2. If you already have a couple of campaigns you know you'd like to run, you can create these as tags in the 'Campaign' field at the very end of the Table view;
  3. Once you have a couple of campaign tags, you can either head over directly to the Timeline view to start adding sequenced email ideas on the timeline;
  4. Alternatively, you can stay in the Table view and jot down your ideas for the campaign's sequence. If you add emails to the table, be sure to give them a start and end date so that they appear on your timeline view;
  5. Fill out the remaining details like your Call-To-Action, Subject Line and attach any relevant Design Assets;
  6. And you can even write the full body of your email inside the Email object by hitting 'Open' on the subject line item you've created;
  7. BONUS: You'll notice that when you drag and add items from the timeline, the 'Delay Next Email' Formula automatically updates--so that you can get a quick view of how well spaced out your emails are.
