One useful feature of Notion is the ability to automatically add a date stamp to a page, which can help you keep track of when a page was created or last updated.
In this tutorial, we'll show you how you can do that with any database, in just a few simple steps.
From now on, the date property you added will automatically be filled with the appropriate date stamp whenever you create or update the page. You can view the date stamp by clicking on the property in the right-hand sidebar, or by inserting it into the main body of the page using the property's name surrounded by double curly braces (e.g. {{Created}}).
Notion is a powerful productivity and organization tool that allows you to create customizable pages for taking notes, managing projects, and organizing your tasks and ideas. One useful feature of Notion is the ability to automatically add a date stamp to a page, which can help you keep track of when a page was created or last updated.
To start, navigate to the database you'd like to include a date stamp for each page. This could be a project management database, a personal journal or diary, a meeting notes database, or any other type of database you use in Notion.
Once you're in the database, hit the '+' button to add a new property. This will open the "Add a property" window, where you can choose the type of property you want to add.
In the "Add a property" window, scroll down and select the "Created time" property. This will create a new date property that will automatically be filled with the date and time that each page in the database was created.
After selecting the "Created time" property, you can click on the property again to edit the format of the date that will be shown. This will open the "Edit property" window, where you can choose from a variety of date and time formats. Select the format that you prefer, and then click on the "Save" button to save your changes.
Now that you've added the "Created time" property to your database, whenever you create a new item in the database, it will automatically include a "Created" timestamp. You can view the timestamp by clicking on the property in the right-hand sidebar, or by inserting it into the main body of the page using the property's name surrounded by double curly braces (e.g. {{Created}}).
